INFORMATION
The J.P.S.P. “Languages, Communication and Management of Educational Services in the modern social, economic and technological environment" is organized by the School of French Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philosophy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in collaboration with the Schools of German Language and Literature, Philosophy and Education of the Faculty of Philosophy and Economic Sciences of the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The aim of the J.P.S.P. is the development of research in the scientific fields of Language Teaching, Language Technology for Education and Management of Educational Services as well as the training of scientific staff who will be able to meet existing and foreseeable social and developmental needs in the labor market.
Duration and cost:
The language of instruction is Greek. In order to obtain the Master's degree, the participants must complete three semesters of study and undertake a compulsory Master's Thesis.
Tuition fees amount to 2100 euros. Up to 30% of the participants and depending on the financial criteria described in Law No 4485/2017 can be given a full scholarship for the entire duration of the program
Structure of the program:
The program lasts three semesters. The first semester includes 5 courses common to both specializations. The second semester, 1 common course and 3 specialization courses, and the third, 1 course for each specialization and the Master’s Thesis.
The program offers 2 specializations:
- The first includes the Teaching of Foreign Languages/Cultures, Multilingualism and Modern Educational Technologies and
- the second delves into European and national language educational policy and into the Management of Educational Services, specifically in multicultural environments.
With these two specializations we believe that the objectives of the program are fulfilled. These objectives include the research, but also the education/ training of specialized scientists and teachers in new developments in the field of teaching languages and cultures and the utilization of technologies in the teaching of languages, as well as in the field of Management of educational units and educational services.
Admission Procedure:
Graduates from all departments of Hellenic Universities and Hellenic Universities of Applied Sciences or recognized departments in other countries can be admitted to the program.
The evaluation procedure of candidates is based on:
- the motivation letter submitted by the candidates in which they explain the reasons why they want to take part in the program, their motivations and their goals,
- the oral interview and
- the consideration of criteria and formal qualifications detailed in Law No 4485/2017 (see relevant details in the internal regulation posted on the website).
