Aims of the J.P.S.P.
The J.P.S.P. “Languages, Communication and Management of Educational Services in the modern social, economic and technological environment” aims at fostering research in the scientific fields of Language Teaching, Language Technologies for Education and Management of Educational Services and at training scientific staff that can cover existing and foreseeable social and developmental needs in the labor market.
SPECIALIZATION A: LANGUAGE TEACHING AND EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES IN MULTILINGUAL AND MULTICULTURAL ENVIRONMENTS
The first specialization covers the topics of Foreign Language/Cultures Teaching, Multilingualism and modern educational technologies.
SPECIALIZATION B: MANAGEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES IN MULTILINGUAL AND MULTICULTURAL ENVIRONMENTS.
The second specialization delves into the topics of European and national language education policy and the topic of Management of Educational Services, specifically in multicultural environments.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The language of instruction is Greek. To complete a Master’s Degree in “Languages, Communication and Management of Educational Services in the modern social, economic and technological environment” the postgraduate students must obtain 90 (ninety) credits (ECTS) distributed over 10 courses and a Master’s Thesis.
OBJECTVES
The objectives of J.P.S.P. are fulfilled by fully attending postgraduate courses and preparing a Master’s Thesis in accordance with international academic standards and as detailed below:
Research in new methodological, didactic and pedagogical approaches to foreign languages and cultures.
Research in educational technologies and their utilization in foreign languages and cultures teaching and learning.
Research in the contemporary issues of the Management of Educational Services, specifically in multicultural environments.
Research in the field of digital humanities.
Training of teachers of primary and secondary education in new developments in the field of teaching languages and cultures and educational technology.
Education/ training of specialized scientists in the field of the utilization of technologies in language teaching and/or in the management of educational services.
Education/ training of specialized scientists in the field of Management of educational units in order to acquire knowledge and skills that will help them occupy managerial positions.
Implementation of the European and Greek language educational policies in educational practice.
